What CATCHTABLE Global is for
CATCHTABLE Global is a web, Android, and iPhone route for finding, reserving, and joining waitlists at participating restaurants in Korea. The checked Global store listings and Korea Tourism Organization guidance say a Korean phone number is not required. They also describe email-based reservation management, 20 interface languages, overseas-issued cards for reservation deposits, and both remote and on-site waitlist routes.
Use it only for restaurants and branches that currently expose a usable Global action. A listing is not proof that a reservation is available, that a remote waitlist is open, or that every requirement has been met. Restaurant inventory, deposit amount, cancellation and arrival rules, menus, accessibility, dietary handling, and entrance conditions remain venue-specific.
When it may fit
CATCHTABLE Global may fit a traveler who wants to:
- search participating restaurants by name, area, cuisine, date, time, or party size;
- reserve without relying on a Korean phone number;
- pay a restaurant-required deposit with an eligible overseas-issued card;
- join a remote waitlist when that exact venue offers one;
- inspect menu and restaurant information in a supported language; or
- keep reservations and queue information accessible through email and the Global service.
The checked route does not document a Korean account, Korean ID, or passport requirement. Korea Untangled did not independently test the signup flow, so foreign-phone support remains unknown rather than assumed. If a screen unexpectedly asks for Korean verification, stop and confirm that you are using the official Global route rather than a domestic-only or restaurant-specific flow.
How to use it safely
- Open
catchtable.netor the official Global app listing, not the similarly branded Korean domestic app or a third-party package site. - Search the exact English or Korean restaurant name and verify the branch, address, floor, district, and nearest practical station.
- Identify the action actually offered: Reserve, Join Remote Waitlist, or an on-site-only waitlist.
- Before signing in, review the current store privacy disclosure and the service’s live terms and privacy routes.
- Read every restaurant notice covering deposits, cancellation, changes, lateness, no-shows, guests, menus, children, dietary needs, and accessibility.
- If a deposit is required, confirm the amount, currency, card route, and refund rule before authorizing payment.
- Preserve the live reservation and email, but do not publish screenshots containing an account name, email, reservation ID, card details, phone number, special request, or future itinerary.
- Save the Korean venue name and map pin separately, arrive early, and keep a nearby fallback restaurant.
Reservations, waitlists, and deposits are separate
A reservation is not the same as a remote waitlist, and a remote waitlist is not the same as an on-site queue. The Korea Tourism Organization says participating Global reservations can require a deposit paid with a card issued outside Korea, while remote and on-site waitlists do not require that reservation deposit. The individual venue still controls whether a button appears, how fast a queue moves, how long a grace period lasts, and when a booking is forfeited.
Foreign-card support is therefore marked partially supported, not guaranteed. An issuer, network, authentication step, available balance, merchant rule, or live checkout can still decline a card. After a failed attempt, first verify whether a reservation was created before retrying or switching cards.
Permissions and privacy
The current app listings describe location and photo or camera access as optional. Location can be used to find nearby restaurants, while photo or camera access can support review images. The App Store disclosure says the developer may handle contact information, user content, identifiers, usage data, diagnostics, and location in different ways depending on the feature. Store privacy panels are developer-provided disclosures, so reopen the live policy before installing or adding sensitive reservation information.
Use the web route when it meets the task and app notifications are unnecessary. Whichever route you choose, share dietary, allergy, accessibility, child-seat, private-room, or group information only through the restaurant’s documented channel and obtain direct confirmation before relying on it.
When not to rely on it
Do not rely on CATCHTABLE Global when the exact restaurant or branch is missing, no supported action appears, the live policy is unacceptable, payment status is unclear, a serious dietary or accessibility request is unconfirmed, or the group cannot reach a moving waitlist in time. Try another date or branch, use the venue’s documented contact or concierge route, ask the 1330 Korea Travel Helpline for public visitor information, or choose a nearby fallback.
CATCHTABLE Global is a booking and waitlist tool, not a guarantee of inventory, card approval, accessibility, dietary safety, punctual arrival, or a successful meal.
